A Note from the HoverSpot Member Services Team.
We, the HoverSpot member services team, work hard to keep HoverSpot safe and clean while still allowing our members to freely express themselves. We review each of the 20,000 photos that are uploaded to our servers daily, usually within 24 hours of the photo being uploaded. We review each and every mail message that is flagged as spam.
We have more than a million members. Due to the volume of requests we receive, it may take 3 to 5 business days to respond to requests sent to us through this contact form.
We have built several reporting and user safety systems that allows us to provide much more rapid responses to your requests. Accordingly, we ask that you NOT use the contact form to report the following problems.
Inappropriate content
If you feel a comment, photo or other content on our site is inappropriate, please use the report link at the bottom of the page to report the specific content. (we review content reported through this system several times a day)
Spammers and/or Scammers
Please use the Flag as Spam link next to EVERY mail message to report the sender as a spammer / scammer. (we review content reported through this system several times a day)
Some spammers claim to be notifying you that you have won a HoverSpot contest. Please click this link to see what an official HoverSpot winner notification looks like http://www.hoverspot.com/images/winner_example.jpg
Bullying (or if someone is pestering or bothering you)
There is BLOCK link on every user's profile page and next to every mail message. If you block a user, they will not be able to contact you on HoverSpot again unless you unblock them.
Please use the block link if you receive unwanted or inappropriate contact from another user.
(blocks in this system take effect almost immediately)
Problems Logging Into HoverSpot
If you are having problems Logging into HoverSpot please remember that your username is the EMAIL address with which you signed up for hoverspot. Please use this link to have your password sent to your email, and be sure to check your email provider’s junk mail folder for your password. If you still cannot login please send us a link to your profile or your user id number so we can help you.
Deleting Your Account
If you wish to permanently terminate your HoverSpot account, please use the cancel account link on the account settings page (available from your hover home page). Keep in mind, cancelling your account will PERMANENTLY REMOVE all of your profile information from HoverSpot, including, but not limited to, your points, photographs, comments, blogs, and your personal network of Buddies. This information cannot be restored. You may re-register with your current email address after canceling, but you will need to rebuild your personal network from scratch.
